Russian unit badges standard position is on the upper tail fin, just above the national insignia. Plane number (if carried) is marked on the intakes and repeated in smaller size on tail fin, just above center line. Radome and antenna areas are generally overpainted with camouflage scheme, though some airframes have been observed with these areas in factory applied ‘dielectric green’ or field-applied black finish.
